Litchfield
Sodalite Publication Guidelines
The
Litchfield Sodalite is a monthly public service newsletter
paid for by the Town of Litchfield, Maine, for the purpose of informing
its residents of local civic events and activities. The Sodalite
is edited and published by volunteers Delmar Dustin Small and Teague
Morris. As space is limited, the editors kindly request that submissions
be brief, including a contact name and telephone number for further
information. The editors reserve the right to edit submissions,
as needed, to ensure the newsletter's accuracy and readability.
Examples
of what can be put in the Sodalite:

of nonprofit social groups, special events, fundraisers for civic
organizations
- Bulletins
from Town Committees
- Selectmen's

- Public
Service Announcements
- Information
about town ordinances
- Notices
of public hearings
Examples
of what will not appear in the Sodalite:
- Paid
political advertisements
- Commercial
advertisements or promotional bulletins
- Birthdays,
obituaries, other personal news
- Editorial
commentary or Letters to the Editor
- News
report/stories
Submissions to the Litchfield Sodalite:
- The deadline is the 22nd of each month for the following month
- Submissions are preferably e-mailed to Teague Morris, editor, sodalite@ctel.net
- U.S Post or hand-deliver material to Litchfield Town Office
- Kindly limit your submission to 250 words or less
- When sending items to the Litchfield Sodalite, please:
-> Use spell check
-> Explain who, what, where, when and why
-> Do not type only in lower case or ALL CAPS
-> Check writing for grammar and clarity of meaning
