Special Town Meeting Warrant
Town of Litchfield
To: Muriel Bonin, a resident of the Town of Litchfield in the County of Kennebec.
Greetings:
In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the voters of the Town of Litchfield to meet at the Litchfield Town Office on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. and then and there act on the following articles, to wit:
Article 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at the meeting.
Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to hear and discuss any reports of any Boards, Committees, or officers (whether residing in the Town or not) of the Town.
Article 3. Shall the Ordinance entitled “Litchfield Shoreland Zoning Ordinance” adopted December 1997 and subsequently amended be amended by adding setback requirements to Section 15.B. (1) as detailed below:
B. Principal and Accessory Structures
(1) All new principal and accessory structures shall be set back at least one hundred (100) feet, horizontal distance, from the normal high-water line of great ponds classified GPA, rivers that flow to great ponds classified GPA, and Carter Pond, and seventy-five (75) feet, horizontal distance, from the normal high-water line of other water bodies, tributary streams, or the upland edge of a wetland, twenty (20) feet from a side or rear property line and twenty (20) feet from the right of way of a private or public road. In the Resource Protection District the setback requirement shall be 250 feet, horizontal distance, except for structures, roads, parking spaces or other regulated objects specifically allowed in that district in which case the setback requirements specified above shall apply.

Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize Selectmen to appropriate monies from the Sand Shed Reserve Fund to complete the Public Works Garage addition and new roof.

(Notes: Current balance of this reserve fund is $63,889. Approximate dollar amount needed to complete addition $28,000.
Notice is hereby given that the Registrar will be in session for the purpose of correcting any error in, or change a name or address on the voting list; to accept the registration of any person who became 18 years of age on Special Town Meeting day or at the close of registration prior to it, and to accept new registrations and enrollments from 7:00 P.M. in the evening until the close of Special Town Meeting on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007.
